Network representatives met last week in Lisbon to discuss European Law Firm matters and strengthen links between members. Thank you to Asdrúbal Calisto E Associados for hosting the last European Law Firm general meeting of 2019.
During Friday's conference, delegates considered and discussed a number of business development proposals as part of the network's future strategy review.
Rafal Sarbinski highlighted how Poland has established “appropriate” remuneration following the implementation of the Directive 2014/26/EU on collective management of copyright and related rights, and multi-territorial licensing of rights in musical works for online use.
Fiscal specialist Nuno Pinto Fernandes presented the current tax implications & opportunities in Portugal while Real Estate entrepreneur and developer Diogo Pinto Gonçalves gave a market overview including current trends in Real Estate development, foreign investment & tourism in the country.
Miguel Reynolds Brandão, entrepreneur and founding CEO of Corkbrick Europe gave an interesting talk about his latest invention. Corkbrick is a sustainable a "Lego-like" system, that allows the construction of any structure, wall or furniture, both inside or out, without tools, screws or glue.
The members of European Law Firm meet three times a year. The next general meeting, will be held in Athens in January 2020 and will be hosted by K. Kostopoulos & Associates.
