Dr. Katinka Tölgyes is the latest to join the Kapolyi Law Firm’s team of over 20, the market leading banking, finance and capital markets law firm. With her experience spanning over 10 years in competition, capital markets law and compliance, she was appointed to be the head of the firm’s competition law practice and will continue to work in further practices.
Kapolyi Law Firm has provided leading services for the past two decades and continues to expand its team of experts through the hire of a new lawyer, with experience in the areas of competition, capital markets law and compliance.
Dr. Katinka Tölgyes began her career in 2007 at the Hungarian Competition Authority (GVH), where she worked on civil, competition, consumer protection law, marketing communication and public procurement cases until 2014. She gained significant expertise at KELER Central Securities Depository Ltd. and KELER KSZF Central Counterparty Ltd. in the areas of capital and financial compliance from 2015 until 2019. As Chief Compliance Officer, she oversaw core and ancillary CSD services, the issuance of securities, certain specialised credit institution services, clearing services, central counterparty services and guarantee undertaking.
Dr. Katinka Tölgyes obtained her J.D. from the University of Szeged’s Faculty of Law in 2007. Concurrently, she enrolled in the University of Potsdam’s German Economic Law programme from 2002 until 2004, held fully in German. She is currently pursuing her L.L.M. in Compliance at the University of Miskolc’s Law Faculty. She is a member of the Hungarian Competition Law Association and the Hungarian Corporate Compliance Society. Through her extensive professional expertise across several practices, and as the head of the competition practice, she will further elevate the quality of legal services the Kapolyi Law Firm offers for its domestic and international clients.
