Jaimy Vanenburg, a lawyer at Dutch member Holla Advocaten has recently set up a Sports Law Department at the firm. Jaimy obtained a Masters in International Sports Law and has previously worked with Court of Arbitration for Sport-arbitrator Rui Botica Santos (Lisbon).
The Sports Law Department at Holla contains a team of several lawyers from different departments, covering Labour, Tax, Liability, Intellectual Property Rights and Business Law. All of the team members are experienced in sports related issues and have specific knowledge of the sports sector.
Holla Advocaten is now able to provide advisory services on a large range of matters regarding (international) sports law including employment contracts, image rights, doping, transfers, match-fixing, training compensation, solidarity mechanism, personal injuries, sponsor contracts and tax issues.
Holla Advocaten also litigates, if necessary, before the national federations, international federations (e.g. FIFA/UEFA) and the Court of Arbitration for Sport. The client database consists of (professional and amateur) clubs, athletes, federations, agents and intermediaries. Furthermore, the Sports Law Department lectures to sports law students, clubs, athletes and agents/ intermediaries.
